1. Introduction to the product

CombinedsubstationZGS series (American type substation) is an integrated, fully sealed and fully isolated power supply equipment specially designed for compact outdoor power distribution in accordance with international standards GB/T 17467-2018 and IEC 62271-200. In this product, the high-voltage switching unit,transformerThe unit and low-voltage distribution block are combined into a single sealed structure with a corrugated oil tank, eliminating the need for a traditional separate cabinet and ensuring miniaturization, integration and maintenance-free operation.

Compared with traditional civil substations and European box-type substations, the American ZGS box-type substation offers significant advantages, including a smaller footprint, faster installation, more reliable protection, lower cost, higher overload capacity, and a longer service life. It can be directly used in various distribution network modes, such as terminal-based, ring-type, and dual-channel power supply.

The entire system is fully sealed in an oil-cooled enclosure with a corrosion-resistant metal coating, allowing it to operate outdoors for extended periods without the need for a switchboard. The system can be turned on after being erected and connected on-site. It is particularly suitable for the renovation of older urban areas, powering industrial parks, providing temporary power to construction sites, connecting new energy sources to grids, upgrading rural power grids, and other applications. 3. Main characteristics

The high-voltage and low-voltage components, as well as the transformer, are combined in a single unit, which is only 1/3–1/5 the volume of a European box-type substation. Its compact design and low profile allow it to be installed directly in tight spaces, such as roadsides, green spaces, public spaces, and the edges of construction sites.

All high-voltage live components are immersed in transformer oil and there are no exposed live components, eliminating the risk of electric shock, accidental contact and arcing. Operation is safe and simple.

Double fuses provide comprehensive protection, stable and reliable operation.

It utilizes a plug-in thermal fuse, a current-sensitive dual-sensor fuse, and a backup current-limiting fuse for dual protection, covering all fault conditions, such as overload, short circuit, and overheating. It offers the advantages of sensitive response, low failure rate, and low maintenance.

Ultra-high overload capacity, suitable for peak loads.

The oil immersed, natural heat dissipation design has a much higher heat dissipation efficiency than dry/European box type substations.

It uses a self-expanding corrugated oil tank design, no storage tanks, sealing caps or leaks, with the interior completely sealed from the air, no water ingress, condensation or oxidation.
