Under the slogan of “Deepening China-Saudi Cooperation and Expanding New Opportunities in Green Energy,” Xinda Transformer fully demonstrated its strengths, taking advantage of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to promote strategic cooperation in the fields of electrical equipment, renewable energy, logistics, and industrial parks.

From April 13 to 21, 2025, Ms. Kong Lingyue, Head of Marketing at Xinda Transformer, joined a delegation organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce to conduct an economic and trade inspection in Saudi Arabia. Initially, the delegation held talks with Mr. Zhang Xing, President of the Saudi Chinese Commerce Association, and Mr. Tang Lin, its Vice President, to explore infrastructure investment opportunities within the framework of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. The parties reached preliminary agreements on localized production of electrical equipment and joint participation in tenders for renewable energy projects.

During a visit to the Aiduke logistics company in Riyadh's Dragon City, the Sinda-Transformer team analyzed the main challenges of the Saudi import trade. All goods exported to Saudi Arabia must first obtain PCoC and SC certificates. Enterprises are recommended to use the complex service “Aiduke” - “double customs clearance, delivery including taxes, warehousing and delivery” - to reduce the risks of non-compliance with legal requirements. Mr. Wang and Mr. Ding, the project leaders, said they will provide Xinda Transformer and other Shandong enterprises with priority customized "warehouse + display + logistics" comprehensive solutions.

Under the guidance of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Jeddah, the Xinda Transformer team has identified a collaboration focus on "green infrastructure, smart energy, and renewable energy." By participating in the 2025 China Shandong Export Commodities Fair (Jeddah), the company plans to establish ties with major projects such as the NEOM new city and the Red Sea tourism development program.

On April 17, the delegation traveled to Azerbaijan to conduct specialized events on economic and trade cooperation. During the first stage, in-depth interactions took place with the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Association, during which the needs of 12 target companies in the areas of electrical equipment for new energy, construction metal fittings, and other sectors were identified. The parties reached an agreement on the "coordinated development of energy and electricity infrastructure between Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan" and plan to use the cross-border e-commerce hub in Djibouti to develop markets in the Middle East and Central Asia.

Forward to innovation

At the turn of the new decade of the Belt and Road Initiative, Xinda Transformer is using its Saudi Arabian technical center as a strategic hub to enter Gulf markets including Azerbaijan, Oman and Kuwait, building an electrical equipment service network covering 120 million people.

Over the next three years, the company will focus on developing the "Digital Silk Road," aiming to build a transformer equipment industrial ecosystem platform and take China's intelligent manufacturing to a new level in desert regions.

From the Yellow Sea to the Persian Gulf, Xinda Transformer has consistently demonstrated innovation, technological strength, and openness, contributing to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

This inspection tour marked the initial establishment of Xinda Transformer's comprehensive presence in the Saudi market, encompassing policies, channels, and production capabilities. By deepening cooperation with the Saudi Arabian government and enterprises and leveraging the high-quality export resources of Shandong Province, the company will continue to promote global standards in Chinese electrical equipment and strengthen the position of "Shandong industry" during a period of rapid infrastructure development in the Middle East.
