China-Kazakhstan Investment Forum
Recently, the Kazakhstan-China Investment Forum was held with great fanfare in the Kok-Tobe hall in Almaty. The organizer of the event was the national agency for attracting investment, Kazakh Invest. The forum brought together more than 600 representatives of government agencies and business circles from Kazakhstan and China.
The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who delivered keynote speeches. During the event, special attention was paid to the prospects of a new “golden thirty years” of cooperation between the two countries.
Representatives of the overseas sales department of Xinda Transformer Co., Ltd. — Kong Lingyue and manager Yue — took part in the forum with the aim of studying investment opportunities in Kazakhstan’s energy infrastructure sector, as well as further advancing negotiations on the project to establish a local transformer manufacturing enterprise.
At the forum, President Tokayev noted that China and Kazakhstan are long-standing, friendly, and reliable partners, and that bilateral cooperation has entered a new stage of development. He called on Chinese enterprises to actively participate in the implementation of key areas of Kazakhstan's construction and development, including industrial modernization, upgrading of energy infrastructure, and the development of supporting infrastructure for new energy sources.
Xinda Transformer specializes in research and development and the manufacturing of power transmission and distribution equipment. The company's participation in this event is aimed at promoting the localization of transformer equipment production and the implementation of related projects, supporting the modernization of local power grids, and advancing the development of wind and solar power stations and energy storage facilities. During the conference, Kong Linyue and Manager Yue held face-to-face business negotiations with representatives of investment agencies from Kazakhstan, energy companies, industrial park management organizations, as well as various Chinese enterprises expanding into overseas markets.
During the meetings, the parties discussed key issues in detail, including government support measures, integration of production chains, and entry into the local market. Company representatives also established contacts with potential partners and gathered information on local investment policies, laying a solid foundation for the further implementation of projects.
Going forward, Xinda Transformer will actively monitor the results of the forum, improve its plans for implementing overseas projects, and continue to expand its presence in the Central Asian market.
